Organizers reported that the Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair, held Jan. 6-9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attracted 1,807 exhibitors from 35 countries, an 8-percent increase over the previous year. Billed as the world's third-largest toy fair, the event drew nearly 26,000 buyers from 123 countries. Held concurrently, the Hong Kong Intl. Stationery Fair drew 221 exhibitors and more than 12,321 buyers.
The ASI Show!, held Jan. 3-5 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center, attracted 4,940 attendees and 840 exhibitors, according to show management. That compares with 4,200 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors last year. Launched in 2001, the Orlando event is one of four ASI shows held each year, including two Tradeshow Week 200 events. The others include Dallas, Jan. 28-30; Las Vegas, March 14-16; and Chicago, July 13-15.
