IAEM and ESCA Create Forum for Show Organizers

The Intl. Assn. For Exhibition Management and the Exhibition Services Contractors Assn. sent out a survey last year polling exhibit managers on how to get the most return on their investment at tradeshows. Now, they're using the feedback to craft a series of educational forums for show organizers.
According to IAEM and ESCA, the first such forum, held last December during IAEM's annual EXPO! EXPO! in Las Vegas, was so successful that the associations now plan to hold at least three similar sessions before the year is out. "There were equal numbers of service contractors and show managers. People wanted to have this shown to exhibitors," said Susan Schwartz, CEM, ESCA executive director.
Specific dates and venues have not yet been established for this year's seminars, though initially they will be held at IAEM events, and later at other show organizer events.
