Fourth-Quarter Revenue Up 30 Percent for TechTarget

Information technology media company TechTarget is celebrating its second consecutive year of profitability.
The Needham, Mass.-based producer of magazines, Web sites and invitation-only conferences reported a 22-percent gain in revenue and a 45-percent increase in profit in 2003, compared with the previous year..
The privately held company's fourth-quarter revenue rose by 30 percent, and all three of its divisions remained profitable, company officials said. CEO Greg Strakosch attributed the increases, which happened during an advertising downturn, to TechTarget's strategy of focusing strongly on customer return on investment.
The company is one of only a handful of technology event producers that has backed auditing show results.
TechTarget plans to produce 14 conferences this year, four more than in 2003. The events, targeted to pre-qualified IT decision-makers, cover storage, networking, security, Web services and other technology topics.
