Program Bonds With Northern Illinois State

By Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 3/15/2004

Want to improve your exhibiting skills and get college credit at the same time? The certified tradeshow marketer program may be the way to go. This course of study for tradeshow marketers has recently moved its university affiliation to Northern Illinois University from San Francisco State University.

The switch in college sponsors, according to program Executive Director Jan Nelson, will allow the program to benefit from Northern Illinois's ability to provide more online courses and information. That means an opportunity for students living anywhere in the country. "We take quizzes over 28 course sessions," Nelson said, "and we want more of it to be computerized."

The certification is available through Exhibitor Show seminars, a total of 42 hours of classroom study, or through the ExhibitorFastTrak program, which was held most recently Oct. 14-16 in Atlanta. The certification program is the only of its kind to be affiliated with an accredited university.
