Exhibitor Show Begins New Promotional Effort for CEMA

The Computer Event Marketing Assn., looking for ways to attract new members and better serve existing ones, kicked off a new campaign at this year's Exhibitor Show March 14-18 in Las Vegas. As part of its outreach membership plan, CEMA had a "membership awareness booth" at the show.
CEMA Executive Director Trinette Cunningham said CEMA's presence at the show was an effort to make more people aware of the association. Key to the outreach component are the changes CEMA has made over the past year and a half, including an updated Web site and additional membership benefits.
CEMA aims to attract more senior professionals in the information technology industry as members, Cunningham said. The new Web site, www.cemaonline.com, focuses on a major feature of CEMA membership: networking. CEMA members can now communicate with each other in real time with the addition of community forum software, she said.
CEMA was also at Exhibitor Show to promote its annual CEMA Summit. Exhibitor Show attendees were offered a $150 discount off the registration fee for the July 11-13 event, to be held in Park City, Utah. "We were prepared to introduce current and potential CEMA members to what I believe is the 'new CEMA,'" said Cunningham.
