June AUMA Forum in Wiesbaden to Consider German Trade Fairs' Future
By Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 4/12/2004
Are German tradeshows ready for the future? That's the central question to be addressed when the Assn. of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) holds the German Trade FairForum in Wiesbaden June 1-2.
About 400 delegates are expected. "We expect that the CEOs of all major German exhibition companies will attend the forum, like Messe Frankfurt, Messe Hannover, Messe München, Messe Berlin, NürnbergMesse, Messe Stuttgart, Leipziger Messe, Messe Essen and Hamburg Messe," said Harald Kötter, AUMA head of public relations. Additionally, Kötter expects "some representatives from exhibition centers in Central and Eastern Europe, like Brno and Poznan."
Attendees will also include representatives of exhibitor and attendee associations, exhibitors and service providers. Simultaneous German/English translation will be provided.
Keynote speaker Lovro Mandac, chairman of Kaufhol Warenhaus AG, Cologne, a large German department store chain, will talk about "The Consumer of the Future."
The program will also focus on service companies' customer loyalty strategies and the European Union expansion's effect on the trade fair industry.
