Deutsche Messe AG reported attendance of 510,000 and 6,411 exhibitors at this year's CeBIT,held in Hannover, Germany March 18-24. That compared with 562,000 attendees and 6,526 exhibitors at last year's show. Organizers reported that more than half its exhibitors view the economic outlook as either "favorable" or "very favorable."

Messe Frankfurt's collocated Interstoff Asia and Source It drew more than 400 exhibitors from 21 countries to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre March 23-25. A total of 10,203 buyers from 63 countries attended the fair, showing a return to 2002 attendance levels, organizers said. The next Interstoff Asia will be held at the HKCEC Oct. 6-8.
