nParallel has named William R. Kasica director of brand programs. He will oversee all stages of design and implementation of projects for clients.
Plan View Exhibits, based in Worcester, Mass., has opened Plan View West, a service facility in Morgan Hill, Calif. Staff additions include:
- Marty McGreevy is the new president of Plan View West. Previously, McGreevy was president of Cleveland-based Cyclonics.
- Kevin Shine joins the new office as senior vice president. Previously Shine ran his own company, Shine Design.
- Warren Lopez is vice president, sales and marketing. Most recently Lopez worked for George P. Johnson.
Poretta & Orr has announced two additions to its Doylestown, Penn. team.
- Dale Archdekin has joined the company as a designer/detailer. His responsibilities include producing setup drawings and floorplans, and providing CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) and design support for Poretta & Orr design department.
- Lauren Knauer has been hired as a field services coordinator. She will manage all show services including ordering, shipping, labor, electric and material handling for clients.
The Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau has made two staff changes:
- Jerad Bachar has been appointed national sales director. He will be responsible for a portion of the Washington, D.C. area, all government accounts and the West Coast.
- Lisa Ashbaugh, formerly manager of convention host development, has been promoted to director of convention host development.
Rachel Crippin Clark, director of public relations for the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, is leaving the bureau to pursue a career in private consulting.
Show ManagementSmithBucklin has promoted executive director Paul Dykstra to senior director. He currently manages the tradeshows for Cosmetologists Chicago, the Intl. Nail Technicians Assn., Cosmetologos Latinos and the Natl. Cosmetology Assn. of Illinois. Shows include the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show and America's Latino Beauty Congress.
PennWell has named Thomas Fowler vice president of its Fire Group, headquartered in Fairlawn, N.J. He will be responsible for PennWell's FDIC Conference & Exhibition series, as well as its Fire Engineering and FireEMS magazines.
George Little Management has named Brenda Harrison group manager for Western Canadian gift shows.
