VNU Expositions reported its Hospitality Design Conference & Expo, a Tradeshow Week 200 event, drew 940 exhibiting companies and more than 8,000 attendees to the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas April 29-May 1. That compared with more than 900 exhibitors and 9,000 attendees the previous year. The 2005 show will take place May 5-7 at the Sands.

The Natl. Cable & Telecommunications Assn. held The Natl. Show May 2-5 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, drawing 307 exhibitors and 17,100 attendees. With the demise of The Western Show, the 53-year-old Natl. Show, managed by Dobson & Associates, is the United States' only remaining national cable industry gathering. Next year's Natl. Show will be held April 3-6 in San Francisco.
