- The Natl. Restaurant Assn. Restaurant Hotel-Motel Show, held May 22–25 at Chicago's McCormick Place, drew more than 2,060 exhibitors, including 695 new ones, and 73,300 attendees. That compares with the 1,953 exhibitors and 49,279 attendees that turned out for the 559,586 net sq. ft. Trade-show Week 200 show in 2003. The 2005 show will be held May 21–24.
- AD:TECH, held May 24–26 at San Francisco's Palace Hotel, featured a keynote speech from Allison Johnson, Hewlett-Packard senior vice president of global brand and communications. The event drew more than 4,000 attendees, up 35 percent from the prior year, organizers said. JD Events also produces AD:TECH events in New York and Chicago.
