Maritime Show Moves to Rotterdam
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 6/21/2004
E.J. Krause & Associates will hold its second annual Maritime Security Expo & Conference Europe Nov. 1–3 at the World Trade Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The show is an offshoot of Maritime Security USA, held the last three years at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. This year's European show is expected to be larger than last year's in Hamburg, Germany, said Michael Rosenberg, vice president of E.J. Krause.
The European show will focus much of its attention on the Intl. Maritime Organization's ISPS code, which goes into effect July 1, pertaining to security requirements at international ports.
Last year's Maritime Security Expo & Conference Europe drew 1,200 attendees to 45 exhibitors over 14,000 net square meters (151,000 net square feet), according to E.J. Krause. This year, Rosenberg expects 75 exhibitors and 1,500 attendees over 18,000 net square meters (194,000 net sq. ft.).
Speakers will include Dutch Interior Minister Johan Remkes.
