Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 6/28/2004

  • The second annual edition of George Little Management's SOURCES, held May 15–18 at New York City's Pier 94, reportedly drew 2,553 buyers, a 25-percent increase over 2003. The show, which featured 400 exhibitors from nearly three dozen countries, coincided with four other GLM-managed shows held at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center that week: the Intl. Contemporary Furniture Fair, the Natl. Stationery Show, The Supply Side and SURTEXT.
  • The Guangzhou Intl. Lighting Exhibition, held June 9–12 at the Guangzhou Intl. Convention & Exhibition Centre, drew 917 exhibiting companies and 35,000 buyers, said organizer Messe Frankfurt. The 55,000 square meter event for the first time strictly restricted attendance to those in the trade.
