NARI Endorses Hanley Wood Remodeling Show
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 7/5/2004
The Natl. Assn. of the Remodeling Industry has been named an official endorser of Hanley Wood's Remodeling Show. The arrangement calls for NARI to promote the event through its 56 local chapters in return for having a presence on the showfloor.
According to Todd Davis, senior show director, NARI will also hold its board meeting during the 2005 show (to be held Oct. 6–9 at McCormick Place/Lakeside Center in Chicago). "This is significant because, in the past, the Remodeling Show has not partnered with and embraced NARI," he said.
NARI discontinued its own annual tradeshow and conference four years ago when the association moved its headquarters from Alexandria, Va., to Chicago, said Gwen Biasi, NARI director of marketing communications.
Paige Jensen, marketing manager for Hanley Wood, said the company's goals for the show this year are 105,000 net square feet and more than 10,000 attendees. "The Remodeling Show had these goals prior to NARI's involvement," she said. "However, with its support as a show endorser, these goals should be easier to attain."
There is not a financial component to the new agreement, and NARI will have no direct involvement in show operations.
