Czarnowski Finds Benefits in Charity
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 7/12/2004
Why is exhibit company Czarnowski so involved in philanthropic activities nationwide?
"Because we can be," said Vice President Martin Knott. "We feel compelled to give back because it's been so good for us."
The accompanying media coverage doesn't hurt much either. Two recent examples:
Last July, Czarnowski consolidated its three Atlanta-area facilities into a new 300,000 square foot location in South Atlanta. In conjunction with the move, the company had a cleanup and adoption of neighboring Rose Circle Park. An employee had connections to the South Atlanta Boy Scout movement, so the company held a Czarnowski Career Day for a scout troop. Besides making financial contributions to the local parks department and Boy Scouts, the Czarnowski team worked on the project. The event was broadcast live on CBS affiliate WGCL-TV's "Good Morning Atlanta."
Czarnowski also donated almost 10,000 square feet of its 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Las Vegas to help the Clark County School District by hosting InterAct EXCHANGE, an initiative of the Public Education Foundation. The program provides surplus materials, supplies and equipment collected from businesses and individuals for instructional use in classrooms. Czarnowski donated hundreds of pounds of excess exhibiting and tradeshow booth materials for student art projects.
"We are committed to helping children in any way we can," said Sam Panice, Czarnowski division general manager.
