New Security Show Targets Mexico City

Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 10/18/2004

E.J. Krause & Associates will introduce its fifth global security tradeshow, SECURITY Mexico, May 11–12, 2005, at the World Trade Center Intl. Exhibition & Convention Center in Mexico City.

Senior-level North America Free Trade Agreement officials from the United States, Mexico and Canada will participate in the show, addressing political, regulatory, technological and cross-border issues. With a general focus on national security solutions for both the public and private sectors, conference topics will cover issues surrounding supply chain, infrastructure, maritime and border security.

The event will also feature more than 100 exhibitors showcasing high-tech security products and services, such as forensics laboratories, guard training, voice recognition, and retinal scanning and bombs. Low-tech products, including sensors and surveillance equipment, will also be on display.

E.J. Krause Vice President Michael Rosenberg said the event is well-timed, as many entry points between the three countries remain vulnerable and "could be a haven for terrorists."

"A whole new set of technologies" is needed after Sept. 11, Rosenberg said, adding that the event will feature top-of-the-line equipment. "We scoured the globe for the best technology to protect our borders and our people," he said.

Other security tradeshows already managed by E.J. Krause include Maritime Security USA, Sept. 20–21, 2005, at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center; Maritime Security Expo Europe, Nov. 1–3 at the World Trade Center Rotterdam in the Netherlands; and SECURITY CHINA, Nov. 4–6 at the China Intl. Exhibition Center in Beijing.
