Corporate travel costs will increase by 7 percent in 2005 as companies lift travel restrictions, according to the Natl. Business Travel Assn.'s cost forecast. Air travel rates will rise by 5 percent and hotel rates by 7.5 percent.
Gross domestic productThe output of goods and services increased by 3.7 percent in the third quarter of 2004, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, GDP increased 3.3 percent.
Venture capital investmentSome 601 companies received $4.3 billion in venture capital in the third quarter, down from $5.8 billion in the second quarter, according to the MoneyTree Survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Thomson Venture Economics and the National Venture Capital Assn.
