Nuremberg Global Fairs Plans Eight Trade Fairs in China
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 3/7/2005
Nuremberg Global Fairs, a subsidiary of NurembergMesse, will organize eight tradeshows in China this year as part of an effort to expand the number and scope of its Asian events. The focus will be on the building and technology sectors and, eventually, markets outside the large cities, which is where the organizer sees niche opportunities for special-interest trade fairs.
Axel Bartkus, Asia Pacific director for Nuremberg Global Fairs, said the shows will be held in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, currently the main Chinese cities for international exhibitions.
Those furthest along in the planning stages are Garden and Landscaping, which will be adapted for a May introduction to the Chinese market; IAC, TME & SENSOR (Industrial Automation and Control, Test and Measurement Expo); and Intl. Powder & Bulk. "These shows build on their very successful mother fairs in Nuremberg, and follow the trend to more and more specialized trade fairs in China," Bartkus said.
In Nuremberg, the new Asia Styles, Trade Fair for Consumer Goods, Gifts and Houseware will be held Aug. 29–31. Exhibitors from China and elsewhere in Asia will present products from the consumer and utility goods sector. The China Council for the Promotion of Intl. Trade is staging this international trade fair for the first time in cooperation with Asian organizers and Nuremberg Global Fairs.
