Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 4/11/2005
Universal Orlando Resort has entered into a partnership with Orlando's Orange County Convention Center to offer one-stop entertainment shopping for meeting planners, show managers and exhibitors. Universal's new on-site office at the convention center will provide prospective clients with park tickets and information on private events at the theme parks, hotels and the CityWalk entertainment and dining complex.
According to OCCC Marketing Manager Yulita Osuba, during a site visit to OCCC, clients can visit Universal staff at their new office and create custom entertainment programs for their events. "This adds value and convenience for all of our clients," Osuba said.
Paul Rothenberg, Universal's vice president of event sales, group sales and CityWalk marketing, said, "Meeting planners get a better sense of the strength of this community when they call the OCCC and can immediately be dialed into all the opportunities offered by Universal Orlando."
