IDEX Media reported that unaudited buyer attendance at its semiannual Off-Price Show London, March 20–21 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, increased by 60 percent, from 1,267 visitors (excluding exhibitors) in March 2004 to 2,017 this year. The show's net square footage of paid exhibit space and number of exhibitors — 1,457 square meters (15,683 square feet) and 114 firms, respectively — showed similar increases. Organizer Buzz Carter said three-fifths of the exhibit floor is already sold for the next show Sept. 19–20.
The Natl. Assn. of Broadcasters' NAB 2005 saw a 7-percent jump in attendance April 16–21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, drawing 104,427 attendees (including exhibitors), compared with 97,544 in 2004. The number of international attendees at the Tradeshow Week 200 show, which will be audited by Exhibit Surveys, also rose from 22,320 to 23,401, an increase of 5 percent, NAB reported.
