TSW Fastest 50 Keynote Speaker Is Announced
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 9/5/2005
Explorer and two-time Mount Everest climber Peter Hillary will be the keynote speaker at this year's Tradeshow Week Fastest 50 celebration in Las Vegas.
Hillary, son of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to scale Mount Everest, has joined his father in one of two ascents he has made of the highest mountain in the world, most recently in 2002. Peter Hillary is also the first person to traverse the 3,000-mile-long Himalayan mountain range, and the first to ski down Mount Aspiring, the New Zealand mountain that is often called the Matterhorn of the Southern Hemisphere.
"A lot of people can talk about achievement and about 'scaling mountains.' Peter Hillary has done it, and will be able to share special insight with our guests," said Tradeshow Week Publisher Adam Schaffer. "He is different than the keynote speakers we have had in past years, and every attendee will walk away having gained a unique perspective that will influence their personal and professional lives."
Hillary is an adventure travel operator and guide who specializes in the Himalayas and Antarctica.
He will speak at a luncheon Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the executive-level conference portion of TSW Fastest 50 event.
The TSW Fastest 50, scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 28–30 in Las Vegas, will recognize the fastest-growing trade, association and consumer shows in the United States and Canada.
