Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 9/12/2005
The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute reported a 7.5-percent increase in attendance, for a total of 30,024 at its June 21–24 EXPO PACK MEXICO at Centro Banamex in Mexico City. That was the unaudited show's highest attendance in its 20 years. The show next year will collocate with Reed Exhibitions' pharmaceutical manufacturing show INTERPHEX, and together be renamed Packing and Processing Week for Latin America.
The Natl. Nutritional Food Assn. said its second-year location at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas is one reason for growth in attendance at its NNFA 2005. The show drew 7,439 attendees (including exhibitors) this year, compared with 7,308 last year, for a 2-percent increase. Buyer attendance rose by 3.3 percent, organizers said. The show, which is not audited, will again take place at the Sands next year, July 14–16.
