Barbara Maple, general manager of the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre, has been appointed president of the Intl. Joint Meetings Industry Council, based in Brussels, Belgium.

Thomas Mobley, general manager and CEO of the Washington Convention Center, has been named chair of the Convention Industry Council board.

GES Exposition Services has appointed Rip Rippetoe general manager of its Las Vegas facility.
