Dallas Market Center, GES Sign

Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 1/9/2006

After four decades with Freeman, the Dallas Market Center in December chose GES Exposition Services as its official service contractor.

The 5-year, 19-show contract, beginning this month, also allows GES to be the preferred contractor on other DMC trade events, said center spokeswoman Lauren Griffin. "Dallas Market Center partner shows will be encouraged to look to GES first for their needs," she said.

Paul Dykstra, COO of Viad, said, "GES' talented team of employees looks forward to building a strong partnership."

DMC President and CEO Bill Winsor noted that the two firms "share a common vision of providing a thriving marketplace for diverse industries."

The venue, a 5 million square foot wholesale marketplace of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibitions, will feature the annual Dallas Super Market Jan. 18–25. The market will include the Intl. Gift & Home Accessories Market, Intl. Lighting & Accessories Market, Furniture Market, Holiday & Home Expo, Natl. Gourmet Food Show and the new F!NDS.
