Expomedia to Manage Zagreb Facility

Expomedia Group has signed a long-term contract with the Croatian Hypo Alpe-Adria-Group to manage its new conference and exhibition center in central Zagreb, Croatia. Hypo Alpe-Adria-Group, a banking consortium with interests in the Alps-Adriatic region, has been active in Croatia since 1994.
Expomedia Group Managing Director Michael Stift said the EXPO XXI Intl. Congress & Event Centre Zagreb would be completed, and have a soft opening in April, with the grand opening in September. With 3,500 square meters (37,675 square feet) of exhibition space, it will have the capacity to host meetings of up to 1,200 delegates.
Zagreb is home to the Zagreb Fair Convention Center and the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert and Congress Hall. But, Stift said, "there is more than enough business around for this center. Croatia is a growing economy, even ahead of others in Southeastern Europe."
Expomedia Group also recently signed an agreement for a 20-year lease on a new, 2,750 sq. m. (29,600 sq. ft.) multi-functional exhibition and conference center to be opened in Belgrade, Serbia, by April.
