Messe Frankfurt saw a decline in visitors at its Jan. 10–13 Hong Kong Intl. Stationery Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year's 14,726 buyers represented a 7-percent decline from the 15,856 at last year's show. However, organizers were glad to have visitors from more countries and regions (120) than ever before. The exhibition held steady in size, with approximately 260 exhibitors filling 62,560 gross sq. ft.
The collocated shows Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West, WestPack, PLASTEC West Pavilion, Electronics West, Pacific Design & Manufacturing, and Automation Technology Expo West on Feb. 2 concluded with a record-breaking performance at the Anaheim Convention Center. Preliminary attendance figures for the event were up about 15 percent over its 2005 show that drew 37,904 attendees. The event showcased 2,045 exhibitors, up from 1,944 in 2005.
