Two More Ethnic Food Tradeshows Join New York Hotel/Motel Event

The Intl. Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, to be held Nov. 12–14 at the Jacob K. Javits Center of New York, is getting even more diverse with the addition of two more collocated ethnic food shows, All Asia Food Expo and Expo Comida Latina.
Kosherfest already collocated with the Hotel/Motel show last year and will be back this fall. All three food shows will be held Nov. 14–15. Together with another collocated show, EX*TRACTS: Essentials for Spa, Home and Travel, set for Nov. 12–14, the shows are expected to draw nearly 2,000 exhibitors and more than 45,000 buyers. The shows' organizers are George Little Management and Diversified Business Communications.
Each show will maintain its own brand identity but, according to IH/M&RS Show Manager Christian Falkenberg, buyers and suppliers will benefit from the expanded resources.
"Collocating IH/M&RS with All Asia Food Expo, Expo Comida Latina and Kosherfest will expand culinary opportunities for buyers of all four shows, enhancing the overall market experience," Falkenberg said. "The shows complement each other well, and will allow attendees to network across unique, specific segments of the foodservice industry."
All Asia Food Expo features nearly 100 exhibitors and attracts more than 3,000 attendees, aiming at the $5 billion U.S. market for Asian food and beverages. Expo Comida Latina attracts some 150 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees. It was launched in Los Angeles in 2002 for the Hispanic food and beverage market and is held annually in Los Angeles, New York and Houston.
Kosherfest, now in its 18th year, attracts about 350 exhibitors and 6,000 buyers.
No other ethnic food shows are currently under consideration for collocation with IH/M&RS, said Melissa Becker, GLM media supervisor.
