Rachelle Crum -- Tradeshow Week, 2/27/2006

World of Concrete management reported that the Jan. 17–20 show saw a 13-percent increase in total attendance, rising from 72,106 last year to 81,545 this year at the Sands Expo & Convention Center. The exhibition increased by an even larger percentage, gaining 110,000 net square feet in one year, reported Hanley Wood Exhibitions. Organizers credited the permanent move to Las Vegas as one factor.

Attendance at boot 2006 in Duesseldorf, Germany, increased to 296,000 visitors, 5 percent more than the previous year. Show organizer Messe Duesseldorf attributed the boat show's growth to consumers' willingness to invest and its increase in international visitors (more than 55,000 from outside Germany). The event showcased 1,659 exhibitors from 51 countries in 17 halls.
