EXPO PACK Mexico Joins E.J. Krause Roster
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 3/6/2006
E.J. Krause & Associates has added another tradeshow to the six that it already organizes or manages in Mexico City.
Beginning with the 2007 show E.J. Krause will manage the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute's 25-year-old EXPO PACK Mexico, held in Mexico City each year.
Previously, the show was run by a Mexican company called Oprex. The departure of Oprex principal Elena Maribona, who was most involved with EXPO PACK Mexico, prompted PMMI to find new management for the show.
"She's been in the business for a very long time. We had a very good relationship, but she's moving on now," said Jorge Izquierdo, vice president of market development for PMMI. "But EJK is a premier exhibition organizer in Mexico, and we believe their international outreach and experience will only lead to future growth."
"We're happy to add EXPO PACK to our portfolio in Mexico," said John Gallagher, E.J. Krause senior vice president. "The PMMI name is recognized around the world as a producer of quality events."
The 2006 edition is scheduled June 27–30 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.
