• Minneapolis in the next few months will complete construction on three new cultural institutions. The Minneapolis Public Library will open in May, and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Guthrie Theater will premiere their expansions in June. In 2005, the city expanded two other artistic venues, the Walker Art Center and the Children's Theatre.
