Registration Roundup

Rachelle Crum -- Tradeshow Week, 4/10/2006

The 50th anniversary edition of The Rental Show Feb. 6–9 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center drew 6,490 professional attendees, 7 percent more than its 2005 show in Las Vegas (6,063 attendees). The American Rental Assn.'s 2006 show drew the third-largest number of attendees, after 1998 and 2001, first and second, respectively. A Ford F-250 pickup truck giveaway generated a lot of excitement, organizers said.

The Stockholm Furniture Fair and Northern Light Fair broke attendance records Feb. 8–12 at Stockholm Intl. Fairs in Stockholm, Sweden. The shows attracted 40,167 attendees, 7.3 percent more than in 2005. Stockholm Intl. Fairs credited its campaign to increase international participation. There was higher international attendance, as well as more international firms among its 728 exhibitors, mainly from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Italy.
