American Tradeshow Clones to Debut in Belgium and Mexico
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 4/17/2006
Two American shows have recently announced international clones.
Brussels Exhibition Center signed a licensing agreement with Brussels Intl. Trade Fair and Natl. Trade Productions to launch GovSec Europe, Law Enforcement Europe and Ready! Europe Conference and Exhibition, June 6-7, 2007, at Brussels Exhibition Center.
Reed Exhibitions' Reed Life Sciences will expand INTERPHEX to Mexico City's Centro Banamex, June 27-30.
Like NTP's U.S.-based GovSec, U.S. Law and Ready! the Belgian event will cover safety and security, law enforcement and emergency services. The show is expected to attract 2,000 attendees and about 200 exhibitors, said Vincent Dewez, show organizer and management attaché, marketing and communications for Brussels Exhibition Center.
"Brussels plays a central role in strategic security issues for Europe," Dewez said. "Since it is the official capital of Europe, where the NATO and European Commission are located, we believe it is the ideal venue."
Brussels Exhibition Center's international department was created to manage GovSec Europe and other events. The agreement with NTP is the department's first. It also marks the first time in 75 years that Brussels Exhibition Center will organize a show.
INTERPHEX Mexico will collocate with the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute's EXPO PACK and PROCESA shows, focusing on the Mexican pharmaceutical and medical device industries. More than 75 medical device manufacturers are expected to exhibit, alongside EXPO PACK's 400-plus exhibitors.
Mexico is a major pharmaceutical market, and PMMI has a history of collocating events with those that support and enhance what attendees say they want, said Matthew Croson, PMMI vice president of member services and communications.
"INTERPHEX will bring a pharmaceutical processing aspect to our packaging focus. It's a natural evolution of what we've always been about."
Reed Life Sciences already produces INTERPHEX events in New York, Puerto Rico, Japan, China, India and Singapore.
