Los Angeles-based meeting resource firm Conference Direct CEO and Philadelphia-based convention center operator SMG recently struck a national agreement to simplify the booking and contracting process at SMG-managed facilities. The agreement takes the form of a template addendum to be used by SMG-managed facilities along with their existing license agreements.
The San Mateo County Expo Center selected Convention Communications Provisioners to be its exclusive advanced telecommunications and Internet provider.
Gaylord Hotels has entered into an agreement with group management solution provider Passkey Intl. The service aims to streamline the overall group reservations management process for meeting planners by offering custom event portal creation and room list uploading capability.
WestVille Enterprises has signed a five-year contract to host the Caribbean Gaming & Hospitality Conference at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, beginning June 11–16, 2006. The show is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees between 2006 and 2010 with an anticipated economic impact of $1.9 million for the island. The venue is scheduled to open in November.
