Moscow Furniture Shows Planned
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 6/19/2006
Nurnberg Global Fairs and Russian show organizer Restec Exhibitions are launching a furniture manufacturing show in Moscow that will coincide with three other furniture industry shows.
The companies are jointly organizing the annual Tekhnodrev Moscow, an international exhibition for technology, equipment and tools for the furniture and woodworking industry. It is set for Nov. 23–26 at Moscow's All-Russian Exhibition Centre.
Restec's Moscow Intl. Furniture Industry Congress will collocate with Tekhnodrev. At the same time, German-based Survey Marketing + Consulting's ZOW exhibition also will take place in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, and Expocentr's Mebel Intl. Exhibition of Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery will be held at Expocentr in Moscow.
Tekhnodrev will target manufacturers of woodworking and furniture making machinery from the United States and Europe as exhibitors, said Johannes Durr of Communications Harmonists, a public relations firm representing Nurnberg Global Fairs. Attendees are expected to come from the Russian logging, woodworking and furniture industries. The show is projected to attract 6,000 attendees and 120 exhibitors.
The Moscow Intl. Furniture Industry Congress focuses on technologies, materials and accessories for furniture production and interior decoration. ZOW and the Mebel Intl. Exhibition of Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery specialize in furniture fittings, semifinished products and accessories.
Restec organizes 110 exhibitions and congresses in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, including the Intl. Forestry Forum and the All-Russian Network of Furniture and Forestry Exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Russia. Its Tekhnodrev North-West 2006 is scheduled Oct. 10–13 at the Lenexpo Fairgrounds in St. Petersburg.
Nurnberg Global Fairs also has expertise in the industry, with furniture-related exhibitions in Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
