New Business Contracts

Michael Hart -- Tradeshow Week, 7/10/2006

The Greater Minneapolis Convention & Visitors Assn. has booked the American Legion Natl. Convention at the Minneapolis Convention Center Aug. 27–Sept. 2, 2011. The city expects it to attract 12,000 attendees and have a direct spending impact of $12.9 million. The event will take place in Salt Lake City this year.

The Toy Industry Assn. has selected C4-Events to handle all advertising and sponsorship sales for its events, which include the American Intl. Toy Fair and the American Intl. Fall Toy Show. The Hunt Valley, Md.-based C4 also manages the Sarbanes-Oxley Conference & Exposition, among other conferences and show pavilions.

Questex Media Group awarded Par Avion Meetings & Conventions a three-year contract to oversee housing for the organization's 25 conferences and exhibitions.
