Michael Hart -- Tradeshow Week, 7/24/2006

The Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Assn. set a new record for attendance at its annual meeting, June 24–27, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center and the Harbor Beach Marriott, the meeting was attended by 740 participants and featured 115 exhibiting companies.

SURTEX set a record for attendance, attracting 6,162 attendees May 21–23 at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. That was a 20-percent increase over 2005, when 5,131 attended. The show presented 368 artists, designers, studios, agents and licensing firms to art buyers and licensees for all industries.
