The ASI Advantages Roadshows to Collocate with DMIA
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 9/25/2006
Six editions of the traveling promotional products event, The ASI Advantages Roadshow, will collocate with the Document Management Industries Assn.'s traveling DMIA Trademart shows in 2007. Collocated events will take place in Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., Chicago, Indianapolis, Northern New Jersey and Philadelphia.
DMIA serves the forms, business printing and document management industry.
The ASI Show launched the Advantages Roadshow in January, and President Matthew Cohn said the road show had attracted more than 15,000 distributors in 15 weeks during its first year. So why collocate?
Because, Cohn said, 84 percent of DMIA members sell promotional products. Plus, according to research, while the shows serve closely related markets, there is less than a 5-percent overlap in attendees or exhibitors.
Cohn said the collocation would enable Advantages Roadshow exhibitors to meet with the DMIA distributors who currently sell promotional products but want new sources to grow this area of their businesses. At the same time, Advantages Roadshow attendees will see twice as many suppliers in one location.
Advantages Roadshow distributors will now have access to DMIA suppliers who offer new types of products and services. Exhibitors that might not have otherwise considered the Advantages Roadshow should include mail house services and printers of marketing materials, for instance, said Cohn.
