The 2006 Intl. Pool & Spa Expo/Backyard Living Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center attracted 15,584 attendees, compared with 13,742 at the 2005 event in Orlando, for a 13-percent increase. The sixth edition of the show under the ownership and management of Hanley Wood Exhibitions took place Nov. 29–Dec. 1. Attendees came from all segments of the backyard living industry, including the pool and spa sector.
LDI, the annual tradeshow and conference for the entertainment technology industry, held Oct. 16–22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, attracted 10,515 attendees, compared with 8,981 in 2005, for a 17-percent increase. Prism Business Media produces LDI. More than 400 exhibiting companies covered 130,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, the largest showfloor in the event's 19-year history.
