Expomedia's Russian Conference Subsidiary Acquires BBPG

Infor-media Russia, Expomedia's Russian conference subsidiary, has acquired Russian conference organizer BBPG.
Founded in 1999, BBPG organizes about 15 Russian business forums and conventions a year, specializing in marketing, corporate finance, public relations and human resources.
BBPG's portfolio includes the conferences Retail Market, Consumer Goods & Services and HoReCa Market, as well as the forums Financial Director, HR & Director and Marketing Director.
Infor-media Russia, founded in 2003, organizes more than 100 conferences a year for more than 6,500 delegates.
The companies will pool their resources, but continue to operate under their separate existing brands. They expect to organize more than 150 events this year.
The parties did not disclose financial terms. Expomedia spokeswoman Rosalind Ireland said Expomedia bought BBPG because "it fits exactly with our strategy of creating one of the largest organizers of annual conferences in Russia. Expomedia now has conference businesses in Poland, Russia and India and is expected to organize over 300 international conferences across these markets."
