Michael Hart -- Tradeshow Week, 1/29/2007

The Intl. Assn. of Amusement Parks and Attractions reported 22,000 people attended IAAPA Attractions Expo 2006 Annual Conference and Trade Show at the Georgia World Congress Center Nov. 15–18, 2006. The number was down 4 percent from the 23,000 attending the 2005 show, also held in Atlanta. There were more than 1,050 exhibitors. Attendance from Southeast Asia increased 61 percent this year, compared with last year.

MSI Fairs & Exhibitions launched the first edition of MIBEX (MICE Moscow) for the meetings, incentives, conferences, events and business travel industry Sept. 19–21, 2006, at Moscow's Crocus Expo Intl. Exhibition Center. It attracted 171 exhibitors from 25 countries and 8,000 trade visitors, MSI said, and expanded from a one-day workshop in 2005 to a multi-day trade fair, including an international MICE conference.
