Expomedia appointed Bob Denton managing director of EME UK, part of the Expomedia Group. Denton previously ran XPO Group, concentrating primarily on shows for the IT community in Europe.
Rus Heise, managing director of RBC Capital Markets, is the 2007 chairman of the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. He succeeded Patti O'Keefe, general manager of the Denver Marriott City Center.
Julie Ichiba has been named event director of Reed Exhibitions' Intl. Vision Expo. Ichiba joined Reed after serving as a group show director at VNU (now Nielson Business Media).
Janet Levy joined the Expo Group as vice president of national sales. She was previously senior sales manager for GES Exposition Services.
Prism Business Media named Eric Lundberg CFO of the company that will be formed upon completion of Prism's acquisition of Penton Media. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of 2007.
Reed Exhibitions hired Mike Moreno as vice president and general manager of Contemporary Forums, reporting to Megan Forrester, senior vice president of the company's health care and life sciences portfolio. Reed Exhibitions acquired Contemporary Forums last May.
Berlin-based content provider NGN formed a U.S. division and named former Diversified Business Communications executive Brian Perkins CEO. The Web-based technology supplier opened an office in Portland, Me., to provide service to U.S. show organizers and exhibitors.
John Patronski, executive vice president of GES Exposition Services, has become chairman of the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau Board of Directors.
UFI — the Global Assn. of the Exhibition Industry elected Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Managing Director Cliff Wallace executive vice president. Wallace begins his term as UFI president in October.
