New this year: A basic, nuts-and-bolts session for attendees on the how-to's of doing more business online. Many attendees run mom-and-pop low-end retail establishments (think "99 Cents and Less") and can benefit from a conference session entitled "Importing for Beginners."
The bottom line: ASD/AMD is a real you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it kind of show. For one full week twice a year, the Las Vegas CC, Sands and Mirage are taken over by exhibitors and buyers from the world of the dollar store. Face it, everything you see on the shelves of the 99-cent store has to come from somewhere. This is that somewhere.
