The Tradeshow Week Fastest 50 will head south to Atlanta this year to celebrate its fifth anniversary as a major industry event.
The Georgia city will be the site for the weekend of Nov. 2–4 to recognize the achievements of the fastest-growing shows in the United States and Canada.
"Atlanta is excited to host the annual TSW Fastest 50," said Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau President and CEO Spurgeon Richardson.
The Omni Hotel at CNN Center will be the host hotel, and a Saturday executive conference will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The TSW Fastest 50 honors shows that experienced the greatest growth in terms of net square footage between 2004 and 2006. The 50 winners will be announced in August and the top prize in three categories (consumer shows, trade and/or association shows, and overall fastest-growing) will be awarded at a black-tie gala in Atlanta Saturday, Nov. 3.
"Much like the tradeshows being honored, our city is growing rapidly," Richardson said. "We look forward to showing these successful and deserving honorees that in Atlanta, every day is an opening day."
Along with the Saturday conference, there will be a number of opportunities to enjoy the city's hospitality, including an opening night reception, the black-tie gala and dinner and a Sunday brunch prepared by Wolfgang Puck Executive Chef Gregg Brickman at the Georgia Aquarium.
"We are very proud to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the TSW Fastest 50 and the success of our winners," said TSW Publisher Adam Schaffer. "We are particularly proud to bring the event to Atlanta. There is tremendous growth and commerce in Atlanta, and the Southern hospitality will knock our attendees' socks off."
