TSEA Gears Up for 2007 Focus Awards
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 4/2/2007
The Trade Show Exhibitors Assn. is accepting entries for its annual Focus Awards competition. The awards, established in 1980, recognize excellence in various categories of exhibiting.
Deadline for submission is June 8. The 2007 awards will be presented at TSEA's TS2 2007, July 30–Aug. 2, in Washington, D.C.
The competition is for face-to-face marketing programs created and implemented at a tradeshow, special event or proprietary event between Dec. 1, 2005, and Nov. 30, 2006. Entries must demonstrate clearly how the program established and tracked measurable objectives.
There are three entry categories:
- Promotions — Identifying the target audience; using appropriate media to attract it to the exhibit or event
- Face-to-face experience — Successfully managing the design and implementation of a three-dimensional exhibit, consistent with an exhibitor's objectives and brand
- Integrated solution — Recognizing the total event, including pre- and post-event marketing, as well as successful face-to-face experience
In addition, the judges will select the winner of the "Best Bang for the Buck" award, recognizing a face-to-face marketing campaign in which an exhibit or event manager exceeded ROI expectations using a limited budget.
This year's judging panel comprises Alan Cordial, calan communications; Karen Formico, Broan-Nutone; Michael Hart, Tradeshow Week; Jennifer Hoff, Natl. Trade Productions; David Mate, Lincoln Electric; Lynne Parry, Apple Rubber Products; Michael Seymour, 3D Exhibits; and Dianne Smirl, the Portables.
