Michael Hart -- Tradeshow Week, 4/9/2007

The Jan. 31–Feb. 1 Euro Attractions Show in Seville, Spain, set records. It spanned 8,042 sq. m. (86,500 sq. ft.) in the Fibes Conference and Exhibition Centre and attracted more than 7,400 attendees, compared with about 3,600 at EAS 2006, a 105-percent increase. Co-promotion by supporting trade industry associations throughout Europe and the popularity of Seville were two factors that contributed to attendance growth.

The Jan. 31–Feb. 3 debut of CMP Asia's Cosmoprof Shanghai featured more than 100 international beauty brands, including cosmetics, perfume and toiletries, exhibiting in China for the first time. There were 341 exhibitors at the show in the Shanghai New Intl. Expo Centre, including companies from 23 countries and regions and nine country and group pavilions. Of the 13,628 attendees, 82 percent came from China.
