The Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau named Kevin Kamenzind senior vice president of sales and marketing. He was formerly vice president of sales at the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau.
SmithBucklin promoted Buffy Levy to director of convention and tradeshow services.
Cincinnati's Duke Energy Center promoted Justin Markle to the newly created position of national sales manager.
The American Frozen Food Institute promoted Jenny Mitchell to vice president of conventions and meetings. She was previously director of conventions and meetings.
The Southwest Washington Convention & Visitors Bureau in Vancouver, Wash., hired Susan Mitcheltree as convention sales manager.
Kevin Murphy succeeded Nigel Nathan as chairman of the Assn. of Event Venues. Murphy, former AEV vice chair, is deputy CEO and managing director of ExCel London. Nathan is group commercial director of EC&O Venues.
David Whitaker is the new president and CEO of the Toronto Convention & Visitors Assn. He was previously executive vice president of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.
