Freeman Acquires Marketing Firm
Staff -- Tradeshow Week, 4/16/2007
Freeman bought ProActive, a company that supports face-to-face marketing events with products such as SeatSelect, a software program that allows event attendees to choose their own seats at functions.
"We are continually seeking to provide those services our clients tell us are critical to the success of their face-to-face marketing events," said Don Freeman, chairman and CEO of Freeman.
ProActive, founded in 1992 by Tony Lorenz, provides several services:
- communications strategy
- creative direction
- content development and production
- assessment and measurement of live events, meetings, tradeshows and corporate training
The Chicago-based company (with a second office in New York) has 39 full-time employees, all of whom will remain in place, including Lorenz, president, and Rob Moore, vice president of corporate accounts.
The company will also keep its own name, but be referred to as a Freeman company.
"Freeman is one of the most respected organizations in our entire industry," Lorenz said. "We view our combination with Freeman as an incredible next chapter in the life of ProActive."
