Experient promoted John Bettag to vice president of association markets. He succeeded Bill Reed, who was promoted last year to senior vice president of strategic sales.

The Quebec City Convention Centre named P.-Michel Bouchard CEO and president of the board.

The Charleston (W.Va.) Convention & Visitors Bureau promoted Interim President Julie Caldwell to president, replacing Eddie Canaday, who resigned in December.

Exhibitgroup/Giltspur named Terry Campanaro, Tom Merrill, Mary Moran and Mark Rogers vice presidents of customer relations for vertical markets. Campanaro will be responsible for the health care market; Merrill for aerospace, defense and high tech; Moran the consumer-retail market; and Rogers manufacturing.

Reed Exhibitions named Glenn Celentano event director of the Intl. Vision Expo shows.

World Market Center named Sean Doane operations manager.

Derse promoted Jim Elser from general manager of the Chicago division to executive vice president of corporate.

Angelo Gangone, Assn. of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers vice president of tradeshows, will replace Dale Silverman as AWFS executive vice president upon Silverman's retirement in February 2008.

The Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau promoted Convention Sales Director Mary Kay Hackley to director of industry relations and strategic sales.

Cygnus Business Media named Jim Ogle CFO. Ogle, previously vice president of finance for Penton Media, succeeded Ken Fisher.

GES Exposition Services promoted David Pilinski to vice president of operations for the Atlantic region, and Richard Demeter to general manager for the Northeast.

Mark D. Shadwick joined Hargrove as director of sales.

The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Authority promoted Nathan Smurdon to convention sales manager.

Global Spectrum named former Regional Vice President Barry Strafacci general manager of the Harborview Center in Clearwater, Fla.

Keith Toler was named president of the Santa Fe (N.M.) Convention & Visitors Bureau. He was previously executive director of the Bucks County (Pa.) Convention & Visitors Bureau.
