The Charleston (W.Va.) Convention & Visitors Bureau promoted Interim President Julie Caldwell to president. She replaced Eddie Canaday, who resigned in December.
The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Authority hired Craig Cox as meetings sales manager and Nathan Smurdon as convention sales manager.
The World Market Center named Georgia Davis head of new business development. She was previously executive vice president of the Dallas Market Center.
Freeman named Anthony Floreano general manager of its Boston office. Floreano replaces George Slattery III, who was named national sales director. Scott Stallings was named director of exhibitor sales for the Las Vegas office.
LA Inc., the Los Angeles CVB, promoted Michael Krouse to senior vice president of sales.
Carl Loewenson was named chairman of the New York Convention Center Development Corp. Loewenson is a partner in the Morrison & Foerster law firm.
GES Exposition Services promoted Mark Munhall from regional general manager of its Pacific Inner Mountain division to senior vice president and general manager of its Las Vegas operations. He succeeded Rip Rippetoe, who assumed the newly created position of senior vice president of facility and account relations in Las Vegas.
Cygnus Business Media named Jim Ogle CFO, succeeding Ken Fisher. Ogle was previously vice president of finance for Penton Media.
Steven Paganelli resigned as president of the New Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau to join TIG Global, a technology firm specializing in interactive marketing and Web management, as vice president of destination marketing organization sales.
The Melbourne (Australia) Convention & Visitors Bureau appointed Lisa Pile director of sales development and Nikki Seymour-Smith general manager of marketing and communications.
