New Business Contracts

The Baltimore Area Convention & Visitors Authority has made a four-year deal with H. H. Backer Associates to host the Backer Pet Industry Spring Tradeshow in Baltimore from 2008 through 2011. The tradeshow, held in Atlantic City for the past 19 years, will attract about 12,000 attendees, use 4,000 hotel room nights and generate an estimated $12 million in direct visitor spending each year, according the the BCVA. Next year's show will take place May 16-18 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The original April 4–6 dates in Atlantic City were canceled.
