2006 show statistics: 141,530 net sq. ft.; 594 exhibiting companies; 20,111 buyers

Position on the 2007 TSW 200: 190, down from 166 the year before

First year of show: 1904

New this year: Debuting at this year's show is Cosmoprof's newest initiative — Discover Beauty, a pavilion devoted to entrepreneurs launching new products and brands. To qualify, distributors have to be brand-spanking new to the U.S. market.

The bottom line: The show may need new blood. The showfloor was 141,530 net sq. ft. in 2006, 20,000 net sq. ft. less than in 2005. The number of exhibitors also dropped from 667 in 2005 to 594 in 2006. Is a bigger drop in store for 2007?
